Here we go!

Okay, soooo I'm working on this consistency thing.  Hopefully, this personal blog will help me hold myself accountable to a little something everyday, no matter what. I'm going to be using this particular post as a test.  I'm in the very early stages of building three businesses.  Two have to do with food, family and home and the third is a product that caters to Jewish and Messianic men.  Ha!  Yes.  That's a secret for now. But the other two are all out there.  This post is kinda weird cuz I'm listening to a training call while I'm putting this together, taking notes and downloading pictures.  I'm learning how to write well for my site to build more business.  More, at this point, would be ANY.  Ha! So, tonight, I made a healthy meal out of some random stuff I found in the freezer, fridge and pantry to use for my upcoming website and blog page.  Here's the layout.

TONIGHT, I TURNED THIS:

INTO THIS
IN ONLY 30 MINUTES!!!

After that I'll put something like, "Go to my website (link that word to my site) to find out how you can too."  Oh, well.  Here we go, the next small step toward success.

The Beginning of Healing

I've just spent the last two days recuperating from my first real massage. It was a divine experience, but the after effects were hellish.  Turns out I have a pretty serious lower back issue that was exacerbated by the deep tissue reverie.  I knew the dream was over when I couldn't get off the table.  My wonderful massage therapist told me that this most embarrassing experience could very well be the beginning of my healing, the catalyst to getting myself in shape, once and for all.

Long story short, my weight (currently +/- 298lbs), combined with a decade of working on my feet and a non-active lifestyle has created what I think may be trigger points in my glutes and hip muscles that cause pain in my QL, that stretch of muscle in the lower back that's just below the belt.  Of course, I will go to the doctor to find out if this is accurate, but no matter what the diagnosis, I'm positive that a healthier diet and more active lifestyle are the cure.

Thus, I have created this blog as a way to document my healing journey and possibly help some other big phat girls who long for freedom.  And you can't beat the built-in accountability.

Let's be clear. As the description states, I'm not trying to get skinny here. I don't want to trade one form of bondage for another. No, I'm just trying to gain strength, increase my endurance, and create the best version of myself inside and outside.  I plan to do this by eating very beautiful, fun, natural foods and doing realistic exercises.  I hope to be able to share more than just photos and calorie counts.  Remember, I want to inspire other people, not just add to the billions of bits of hackneyed health information already out there.  So, you'll see pictures, recipes, videos and goodness knows what else.

Hopefully, by the time it's all said and done, I will have reached my goal weight, but more importantly, my goal life. Stay tuned.
